Art and stuffs

A game is usually really visual, that's why you need to spend a lot of time on modeling objects that will create your world.

Going from nothing to a full and entire environment, you need many 3D models. Places, objects, creatures are all created in software like Blender3D, 3DSMax, Maya and many more..


But the model is just the first step, then you need to apply some textures, than you most of the time, need to produce as well (GIMP or Photoshop would be some tools you can use). Textures used to be only colours, but time after time, to make them more and more realistic, more layers have been added, to give reflections, depths (by faking relief, because a game need to run real time not like movies), and more..
